CFS sufferers are labeled as lazy only because the doctors who label them are lazy themselves

Yes, and there has been traditionally a very patrician mentality on the part of medics with the patients viewed as subservient.ie. 'doctor knows best'. I think this can generate a very smug attitude. I'm reminded of a slide i saw of Simon Wesselys which concluded with 'why is this [CBT etc] approach the best?' Answer: 'Because it's right'. which is akin to the parent saying to the child 'Because i say so'. Hopefully that's changing. Slowly.

My previous PCP refused to look outside her training to try to figure out why I was so sick. I don't think it was laziness on her part. Just beyond the scope of anything she could fathom and still believe the training she got was right.

The job title of a PCP is to basically manage your healthcare and prescriptions.
Either on the PCP's own or sending you to the "right" specialist who can..

If the PCP is unwilling to do this, for whatever reason, they are not doing their job.

Therefore they are not interested in helping the patient and this makes them lazy.
