Circadian Rhythm Problems

While reviewing my notes on B2, I came across the following:

I would like to know what the other two vitamins involved in the regulation of circadian rhythms are. I am behind on reading this board and all but one other website that I read. I do not have the energy/time to research it right now. I am hoping someone else with circadian rhythm problems will be curious enough to look into it.

Diary of Unknown Symptoms - Entry for August 02, 2006

Riboflavin is one of three vitamins (A & B12) involved in the regulation of circadian rhythms in humans. Could this be why I’ve never had a refreshing sleep? I know I was deficient in vitamin A, my b12 tested fine so now I just need the last piece of the puzzle…

Good Morning! Actually I have been up over an hours now (since 4 am).

Climbing the stairs to my apartment raises my heart rate above my presumed aerobic threshhold, so I lay down as soon as I get in. Tonight I got in at 7:30 and feel asleep shortly after laying down. By the time I woke up (before 3 am), I had been having weird dreams and had a headache. I didn’t feel like getting out of bed until 4, but had no difficulty staying awake. I feel pretty decent now.

A few days ago I didn’t get in until 11 (I spend evenings with my Mother) and also fell asleep. I still was awake and ready to get up at 4. I spent a few hours on the computer and eating/taking supplements. When I did go back to bed, I was not able to sleep, but became sleepy and started dozing in the afternoon when I wanted to get up.

It looks like my innate sleep cycle has switched to early evening to 4 am. Unfortunately that is not a very practical sleeping schedule.

I've done an atlas "repositioning" therapy called atlas profilax (Click here for PR thread), which gave me numerous benefits, including improved sleep. My neighbor had this done 3-4 years ago, and he was just telling me tonight that before he did the AP, he was a night owl, staying up till 12 to 1 to 2 in the morning. From the very first day of his atlas being shifted, he began to get really sleepy by 9:00-10:00, and has continued to this day. He said he sleeps as much, just got his rhythms shifted by a few hours.

Is this one for delayed circadian rhythm syndrome/disorder
It is for people with ME/CFS who have delayed circadian rhythm problems as part of the illness. Many treatments suitable for healthy people with DCRS are not suitable for people with ME/CFS, so this thread will be helpful in only a limited way for people without ME/CFS.

This entire site, Phoenix Rising, is focused on the serious illness ME/CFS. Because we have many difficult secondary conditions, we discuss a broad variety of health topics, but in the context of our illness. That can be helpful to some degree for healthy people who also have the secondary condition, but there are probably better sites for people who can take treatments completely unsuitable for us.

For example, the daily 45 minute walk that you suggested in another thread
Please go for a 45min walk during the day and tell me if your sleep starts to normalize
is completely inappropriate, even harmful, for people with ME/CFS, even if it would be an excellent technique for an otherwise healthy person with DCRS.

Uncomplicated delayed circadian rhythm syndrome can be treated by a doctor specializing in sleep disorders. Have you had a sleep study done, yet?

I have not had a sleep study done but i have been to thr dr plenty of times and this has not been suggested. Maybe sleep study does not exist in australia. Dr did once send me to a sleep specialist but as it turnes out they "only do children". Guess their will only be help for me when im gone.
But i am hearing the polite "fuck off" at the end of every ones reply to me. Its loud and clear.
And i am a carrer as an occupation so i do look after ppl with these disorders (i remember seeing these in ppls files but can't remember everything ) so thanks for the education, ill just suffer in silence and btw. It wasn't a suggestion, i actually wanted to know if this would work for someone else. Nice meeting you all, sorry i imposed good by
