I too think you are in a "push and crash" cycle and probably running some on adrenaline. As another said push/crash cycles this can lead to deterioration.. sometimes at such a slow rate that a person may not notice the slow worsening progression of the illness for quite a while. They can also cause crashes you may not recover from..
It would be better if you can balance your activitiesand work more eg do something like 3-4 hrs per day instead of 8hrs and then not being able to do things at all for a couple of days. 8hrs is putting too much strain on your body and is likely to stop any hope of recovery.
