High estrogen low testosterone

I just had a hormone panel done and it came back that my estradiol (sp?) is very high and my testosterone slightly low. Pregesterone is in the normal range. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what the possible causes and ramifications of this combination are. If anyone has some insight I would appreciate it. I really don't want to do any sort of supplimentation because I do not do well with hormones. I'm wondering if there are diet changes or suppliments that can help hormone levels.

certain herbs and foods can raise estradiol levels, as well as drinking from plastic that is not BPA free, certain liquid hand soaps, and a few other things I cannot recall right now.

I would just significantly limit your consumption of soy, eat more animal protein, sleep enough, any possible xenoestrogens could be a problem as well.

There are also various herbs that can act as estrogen boosters that you should avoid, also you could supplement test boosting herbs like asian ginseng, pine pollen, horny goat weed, etc.

Here is a good article regarding diet/herbs and hormone balance, its from a body building site I belong too but still helpful lol

Also be sure to extremely limit your exposure to all possible xenoestrogens

here is an article regarding those things

How is your insulin levels? sometimes having a high carb diet alongside insulin resistance can do all kinds of messy stuff to your hormones, especially pre menapausal women.. A paleo style diet would be excellent here.

One more potential issue is aramotizing, if you are having estrodial dominance and this is blocking the natural androgen receptors..
