Thank you for the suggestion but, I have been taking betaine HCl for almost a year now. The reason why I have discontinued it is because I noticed that I would get slightly wired no matter how many capsules I try to taper. I believe it is because of the betaine that may be stimulating BHMT pathway a bit too much.
My body still needs the HCl (from betaine HCl) as I cannot seem to digest food properly without it but, the wired feeling is something I do not want to experience again. I do want to try the HCl liquid solution but, it seems to be discontinued and only one site that I came across seems to have some left.
