Perhaps I need to relax my criteria a little bit- low carbs, no fat, low fiber, no dairy, no animal protein foods, thanks!

Perhaps he should have just said he wants things to chew!

Ahh is this a puzzle quesiton which no one has got yet?
Can anyone suggest foods or snacks that have very low to no carb, no fat, very low to no fiber? Sodium is fine. Just looking for something to meet my mastication instinct, thanks.
and no dairy and no animal protein

I have the answer, I have the answer...The answer is sugar free BUBBLEGUM hahaha
..........

When I was a child, I used to eat my toenails.. maybe they meet your requirement ***offers one*** lmao.

If toe nails just dont sound appealling, you can leave little mushrooms in your fridge for far too long so they get all dried out and go rubbery (they look chewy). That happens to mine, they probably would meet your requrements (thou I throw mine out that that point).

You could buy dried mushrooms thou :)

Good luck finding the snack you are looking for and Popsicles are a great idea too. I'm not sure if this would fit your requirements but we also found dairy free frozen chocolate covered bananas.

Bananas are extremely high in carbs, one of the worst fruits for carbs (those and oranges). 25-30g carb in just 1 banana.
.....

Actually all fruit can be a bit high in carbs if someone is on low carb diet.. my specialist due to my carb problem and need of low carb diet, Im only allowed to eat a small piece of fruit per day of a lower carb variety..

If the composition is similar to chewing gum, it's still high-carb according to this site. (Strange that they include 'added sugar' when it's supposed to have no sugar added.)

fats in nuts, coconut and avocado are good for you, I think?
Everyone out in the world who considers themselves to be health conscious thse days uses the phrase healthy fats, yet there are varying and exactly opposite opinions on which ones are healthy. There is no consensus whatsoever and everyone has studies to back up their side. That's the state of the so-called Diet Wars.

Mushrooms, popcorn, kale chips, dried fruit all have at least 50 calories...
