Dr. Teitelbaum’s Recipe For Energy

1. Take D-ribose (Corvalen) (5,000 milligrams – I scoop) 3x’s a day for 3 weeks, then 2 x’s a day. Add to food or drinks.

2. Take the Energy Revitalization System vitamin powder (Enzymatic Therapy) or similar multivitamin with B-complex

3. Take 500-1,000 mgs. of acetyl-L-carnitine a day for four to nine months and then as needed

4. Take 200 milligrams of coenzyme Q10 daily for four months (Vitaline, Enzymatic Therapy or Ultraceuticals)

Dr. Teitelbaum recommends that all ME/CFS patients try the first two. If cost is an issue stop there

Otherwise consider adding acetyl-L-carnitine for 3-4 months. Then add Coenzyme Q10 for three to four months. If you do not feel better in six to nine months consider adding magnesium-potassium aspartate and NADH

I had breast cancer 2 1/2 years ago but was previously diagnosed with cfs and chronic migraines. I was doing research and believe i understood that enzymatic therapy revitalization system fatigued to fantastic with the capsules adrenal end stress might help me. Can you clarify that information for me, I am also ADHD, hence ups and downs. I do believe I can get rid of this if I could stay focused. :) I have a lot of goals. I just need the energy to put more of them into motion consistently. Thank you.

your brain has two groups of ‘mood hormones’. The migraines can be caused by poor blood flow to the brain. Titelbaum recommends Ritalin for cerebral blood flow and it’s commonly prescribed (though not always effectively) for ADHD.

A few options you could try (without prescriptions) are:
large doses of Vitamin C
liquorice extract
the ‘adrenal stress formula’ described above

Liquorice extract may raise the following hormone levels:
Aldosterone: What we are after and usually good for ME
Testosterone: Often good
Cortisol: Varies if too high may make you agitated.
